That usually means you’re trying to downgrade to an version of macOS that your computer doesn’t support, or it could be that the bootable usb drive cannot be used

@@iOSPro I'm trying your other method that doesn't require the USB but it's offering Monterey which is an update from Big Sur which is puzzling if it's supposed to offer the oldest OS version that came with it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

There is a good chance that your computer shipped with macOS Catalina, also I would suggest trying this with an external keyboard connected to your computer with a cable, a sticky keyboard might be why it put it in the update to latest version mode rather than downgrade mode, because the key combination option command R is the update combination, but the key combination shift option command R is the downgrade combination

@@iOSPro Thanks. Will give that a try. The computer I'm trying to downgrade is a Macbook Pro late 2015 so we're talking about El Capitan maybe as the original OS?

no you don’t lose any data when doing this, but I recommend having at least 60GB or more available before doing this, that will prevent the iPhone from freezing and lagging

No it’s a available for iPhones with A12 chip or later i googled it , and make sure you have updated to iOS 18

I just looked it up and iOS 18 is available for devices with an A12 chip or later but the eye tracking feature is only available on devices with an A14 chip or later which is iPhone 12 or later

unfortunately it wont come to iphone 11 it will come to iphone 12 and later

You use your eyes to look and select the assistive touch icon that’s where the options are for scrolling and other tasks are, the assistive touch option has to be on for other tasks using eye tracking

I suggest you hard reset your device, by quickly pressing volume up, volume down, then hold the power button until the device powers down and the Apple logo appears, iOS 18 is buggy right now since it’s a beta non responsive screen is 1 of the bugs in iOS 18 right now

This works in iPadOS 18 as well I checked and it’s the same support as iPhone, A10-A13 chip iPads don’t support this feature, iPads with an A14 chip or later supports this feature, iPad 10th gen or later, iPad Air 4th gen or later, iPad Pro M1 or later, and iPad mini 6th gen or later
